My dear brother Clyde, was responsible for my early influences in musical taste. Although I love all types of WELL composed, WELL played music, it was the creativeness of jazz that caught my fancy. He was so talented in every way, & my earliest memories of his show business, acting & playing, stuck with me forever. I had some wonderful times with him, discussing chord formation,& how to figure out the theory behind what I was blessed to be able to hear. I was thrilled beyond words when I found out that he carried a little poem that I wrote way back in school, all through his war experiences in the Pacific, in WW2. I loved him very much, & always will.

And thank goodness for that, for you have carried on the musical tradition in the family.
