The following memories are shared by Don's niece, Ardith Davenport:
"Since Uncle Don and Aunt Marge lived in Colorado, their home was a favorite destination if we could get away from the farm for a day or two. Even though their kids were older than any of us, we enjoyed time spent with them. Their lives as teenagers when we were little kids seemed romantic and "cool". Also, they nearly always took time to take us up into the mountains for sightseeing, camping, and fishing. Bill's favorite haunts in the Poudre Canyon gave us adventures we will never forget. Uncle Don and Aunt Marge were good listeners and were interested in all of us. And we always had that music to share!"
